Here’s what you’ll learn and explore in each module of Breaking Up With Sugar…
We’ll kick off the course by discussing why breaking up with sugar and healing your relationship with food is the solution that will FINALLY work this time! You’ll learn how sugar impacts your body and how it becomes a full-on addiction that keeps even the most diligent of dieters STUCK. You’ll reflect on your relationship history with food to see where the addictive patterns have been for you, identify how severe your sugar addiction is (or not), and begin to understand the best way to repair that relationship and get started on the path to healing and health. You’ll also explore your core beliefs about sugar, food, and weight so that we can uncover any mindset blocks that may sneak up to thwart your success.

In Module Two, we’ll dive deep into your “why” for healing your relationship with food and kicking sugar to the curb. Your WHY will tap into your true crystal clear motivations for making a change in your life and your relationship with food. Effectively, that WHY will help to fuel the different actions you’re going to be taking on this journey. Then, we’ll discuss the difference between a diet and a relationship with food — and how the reason you’ll find success this time is because you’re developing a healthy, healing relationship with food that doesn’t include sugar. We’ll also discuss why it’s important to define your values in this new relationship, because it’s your values that orient you and help you stay true to yourself. Finally, you’ll learn the one most sacred vow you need to make to yourself that will help you stay the course when the going gets tough and you don’t know what to do.
We’ll also dig into:
- Why it’s important to have a why — and a ‘positive’ why at that
- What the sacred vow is and why it’s important to make one
In this module we’ll use the following tools:
- Your Core Beliefs and Thought Balancing Exercise to help you explore — and balance — your personal beliefs about food and sugar
- Your Big Why Worksheet to help you nail down your reasons for wanting to heal your relationship with food
- Make Your Own Sacred Vow Exercise to formalize your commitment to stay the course in your relationship with food
In Module Three, we’ll discuss the science behind forming new habits so that your new food behaviors can really stick. Research shows that adopting a new behavior takes an average of 66 days to become automatic, so to make sure that YOUR new food behaviors become habits, you’ll learn the seven vows, or the guideposts that will help guide your progress and make the process a whole lot easier, especially when times get tough. You’ll also receive a sample meal plan for how to get started eating sugar-free so that there’s no guesswork — just great food.
We’ll also dig into:
- Why it’s important to embrace your imperfections as you make and engage with the seven vows
- Why making each vow and creating a new relationship with food requires an open mind first and foremost
In this module we’ll use the following tools:
- Reflection Journal Exercise to help you explore and reflect on each of the seven vows, including why they make sense to you, how they will help you, and what might get in your way of upholding them

What to do when you don’t want to do what you’re supposed to do!
Module Four is the antidote to every diet you’ve ever started and failed, because it’s a whole new way of managing slips! You’ll learn how to approach your new relationship with food from a “I will be imperfect sometimes and that’s okay!” attitude, and learn actual strategies to call on when you just don’t want to do what you know you’re supposed to do. This module is exactly what you need to keep you on the path, no matter what.
We’ll also dig into:
- Your common blindspots and how to avoid them and/or do something differently than you normally would
- How to keep perfectionism at bay

In Module Five, you’ll learn how to develop and integrate skills into your daily life to support you on your journey.
